After Day 3 stumps, West Indies are at 229 runs losing 5 wickets. India is ahead with 209 runs still as India scored 438 in their first innings. It is the second match of the ongoing indvsWI test series at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. India is already ahead with 1-0 in the series.
As per West Indies’ point of view, they are in good total better than the 1st test. Still, as per the flat wicket, their overrun rate is very low. In this process, they are going to draw this match and India will win the series. Our expert Dinesh Kartik says “West Indies on the other hand they’ve lost the first test it’s a two-match series . If they want to make an impact in this test series the only chance for them to do it is by leveling the series . But the bad at us run rate of 2 and 2.1 , what were they thinking and that is what disappointed me most about the day ” .
Also says “no batter showed intent ,no better showed aggression and I’m not saying Reckless batting here but if you are telling me on a plastic pitch where there’s nothing happening for the India’s Bowlers and whatever little is happening From the Rough and
they have three medium Paces bowling and just two spinners bowling and you can’t score at 3 or 3.5 per hour what is the point ,what are you trying to achieve in this test match”
Praises Rohit’s Gameplan
As per Rohit‘s captaincy Dinesh Kartik says “I think the one in Trinidad is not a dead pitch there’s something happening from the rough but for the fast Bowlers there’s not too much in it and I thought Rohit in many ways handled his fastball as well giving them spells bringing them back . Also bowling The Spinners quite a bit giving them longer spells but in between all that bringing back the fast Bowlers and when reverse was in play he made use of all the bowlers”
Mixed review For Craig Brathwaite
Kartik says “75 of 235 balls shows a lot of grit and determination and that’s what he’s known for he’s somebody who’s will take his time. Not the most talented in terms of short making but if somebody will show a lot of resilience through his Innings and that’s exactly what he showed came up against a very very good attack.”
Also says “when you’re 1-0 down in the series , trying to win a test match here the speed at which your play matters a lot ” .
